Fall Art

Landon is becoming such an artist. Whenever he sees his crayons, markers, or the paint they have to come out no matter what we are doing. Here is some of our Fall art that we did for October and November.

Learning to Cook.

Helping Mom peel potatoes.
It's never to early to teach your son how to cook. Landon really did enjoy cooking with me. Any time he sees me cooking he wants to help. Now I have to think of new dishes that he can help me with.

Happy 2nd Birthday Landon!

It's hard to believe that Landon is no longer a baby, but a toddler. Where has the time gone? We celebrated Landon's birthday yesterday with family and close friends. He loved all the new toys he got and mom and dad liked all the new clothes he got, Landon did not really care about those. All he wanted to do was play with his new toys which we had to do the minute we got home. Landon a few days old. First Birthday! Two years old

Beach trip.

Before my summer ended, we finally made it to the beach. This was Landon's first trip, at first he was not liking it he had sand on his feet, the water was way to cold. After awhile he was out playing in the sand, flying his backyardigan kite, and playing with the beach ball. But I couldn't get him to put his feet in the water and I really don't blame him for not wanting to do it.

Summer is officially over

My summer has come to a end, I went back to work on Monday with a new group of children. While I loved being home each morning with Landon it feels good to be back at work. So here is to another school year.

Childrens Museum

Who would have ever thought there was a Children' s Museum in Chino, not I until one of my students had there birthday party there. So Landon and I finally went to go check it out along with Uncle John, Aunt Jill and her nephew Will. Landon and Will had such a great time. They got to be farmers, cooks, mail man, bank teller(Landon's favorite), police man and firefighters. It was fun just watching them explore and play with one another. In the end it was the best $2.00 Uncle John ever spent. I see you Money, money, my favorite thing. More money for me! Landon and Will Heading home after having a BLAST!

Potty Training

Over the last couple of weeks Landon has been very interested in the toilet, so I decided to slowly potty training him. I'm in no hurry and I really don't think he is. Since we have started Landon has poop on the potty twice. Of course I made a big deal about it and after Landon realized what had happened it decided to join in the celebrating. And as we flushed he waved buh bye to it. So that's our potty training in a nut shell so far!

Out of Africa wild animal park

While visiting Aunt Dee in Sedona,Az we went to a wild animal park. Here are some pictures from our trip. Getting ready to go see the animals. Aunt Connie paid Chris 10bucks to eat the giraffes food. Baby Zebra Lady Lion looking over the valley.

Future Baseball Player

Landon is all about baseball at the moment. He loves to hit the ball with his little bat, and boy does he know how to throw a ball you better watch out. Landon has picked up on how to hold and swing the bat all from watching the Dodgers and Daddy play ball. Ya we watch that much baseball. Future All Star(maybe) Getting ready to bat!

Aquarium of the Pacific

Last weekend we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach to watch my brother's girlfriend feed the Sharks. Landon was in heaven, he didn't know what direction to head in. I think we could have stayed in front of one of the fish tanks all day and he would have been completely happy with that. Just a few of the many fishes we saw. Touching the sharks, which Landon did not want to do. Done looking at sharks. Water time Mommy! Having to much fun in the water. Playing in the water with Daddy. Look Daddy, birds are swimming.

New Pictures

Over due Update

Not to much has been going on in the Avila Family. Landon is growing bigger and bigger each day. It just amazes me to watch him grow. He is in this stage where he likes to dust, sweep, throw away trash, and pick up some of his toys. He will tell you where things go when you are done using them. He has been very helpful in his own little way. Now only if this continues as he grows, mommy and daddy will be very happy. Summer is almost here and I couldn't be happier, that means the school year is almost to a close and I get to be home with Landon and Chris for a couple of weeks before summer school starts for four weeks and then I'm off for a month til the 08-09 school year starts. This year we have no major vacation plans. We may go visit Aunt Dee in Sedona or take a trip to visit my Uncle and cousin in Kentucky. It's hard to plan anything when gas is four dollars a gallon.

Some more pictures from our Phoenix trip.

The Lopez family joined us on our little trip to Phoenix. These were Landon's babysitters for the weekend. He loved every minute he got to spend with them. Selina and Landon before the Dodger game. Landon and Raeann before the Dodger game. Landon and Amanda. He would take his pacifier throw it and then cover his mouth with his hands and laughed. He would do this over and over cause the girls were laughing and making it a big deal about it. Avila and Lopez before the Dodger game.

Bubbles

Uncle John and Aunt Jill got Landon a bubble machine for Easter, so you can see where we spent most the day. Outside chasing bubbles.

Our trip to Phoenix

We made it to Phoenix and back without a problem. Landon was a wonderful passenger for it being his first time on an airplane. I think it was more stressful going through security then it was with Landon. Looking out the Window. Saturday we headed to the baseball field to watch the Dodgers play the Angels. Boy was it a warm day at the park. I was amazed how well Landon did during the game, Not once did that boy fuss. As long as he had his water he was OK. The Dodgers ended up losing, but hey it's only spring training right. Before the Dodger game in Arizona.

Time for some baseball.

Can you see that the Avila family is ready for the baseball season to start? We can't wait to head out to those Dodger games, eating dodger dogs and just getting out to the ball park. So far we have two up coming games in March. First we're headed to Arizona to watch the Dodgers play the Angels(This will be Landon's first airplane ride). Then we get to go back where it all started in Los Angeles for the Dodgers, The Coliseum. We should have a fun and exciting time at both games. So if you ever need to get rid of some DODGERS tickets you know who you can give them to. :)

Road Trip

This past weekend we took a little vacation to Sedona,Az to visit with Chris' Aunt and to get away. Chris' sister Connie went with us, she kept Landon entertained. While on our trip we went to Flagstaff,Az where they had a ton of snow. It was just breathe taking to see blankets of snow covering the mountains. So Landon got to experience snow for the first time, along with his Aunt Connie. At first he wanted nothing to do with the stuff. But of course as we are getting ready to leave Landon decides he wants to stay and have snow ball fights with Daddy. He was having so much fun we had to carry him to the car kicking and screaming. And of course during this time the batteries in the camera had to die, but we did get a couple good pictures of Landon in the snow before it did. I'm not too sure about this
It's not so bad.
